Kim Wilson
Kim Wilson Resides - Brisbane Kim Wilson resides in Brisbane with her artist husband Peter Anderson. They travel extensively and paint works from their travels. "Most of these paintings are from a trip that my husband and I took to the Russian far east. We started 3/4 of the way up the coast of the Russian Mainland and headed north eventually getting to Wrangle Island, well inside the Arctic circle. These places are very remote and very beautiful.. This work is the very beginning of a series of studies of what we found there. My work slides between realism and slight surrealism. Sometimes it is simply the wonder of the place or the object that attracts me and sometimes I fiddle some more to evoke a sense of otherworldliness." Kim's work is in collections worldwide. |
